The USGA has a wonderful

|
| Q. |
My handicap for this next tournament isn't what the chart in
the book says it should be. Why not? |
| A. |
This will happen frequently with our women members.
See another of our incredibly detailed explanations as soon as we can get it
together. In the meantime, contact anyone on the Handicap

|
| Q. |
What is this Peoria flight that I see at many of our
tournaments? |
| A. |
The Peoria flight consists of players that don't have
official USGA handicaps. In order for them to compete with one another we use the
Peoria system to determine a handicap allowance for them for that day. See a
further explanation here. |

| Q. |
How is the index used in the Club Championship determined? |
| A. |
The index used in the Club Championship is the lowest that
the golfer has had since the last Club Championship. E.g., this last year's Club
Championship was in August. For this year's Club Championship,
since it's again held in August, you would use the lowest index between
September of last year and
August of this year, inclusive. |

|
| Q. |
How is the Most Improved Golfer determined? |
| A. |
To be eligible for this award you must have had an index in
January of the year the award is to be given. Then that index plus 12 is divided
by the final month's index plus 12. (The final month is usually October,
but this year it's in September.) The golfer with the highest ratio is the Most Improved Golfer. You
must also have had contiguous membership in hpGA. |

scores that comprise your current index, it also shows the latest twenty
scores posted if you click on the on the link 'View 20 most recent
scores.' |
