NCGA Senior Two-Person Event2008 Schedule
EligibilityYou must have a numeric index on the June hpGA index report not to exceed 36.4 (men) and 40.4 (women). Contestants must be age 55 or older by September 15, 2008. FormatFour-Ball Net (Two-Person Better Ball). Play will be 90% (men) and 95% (women) of the course handicap using a maximum current index of 18.4 for calculation. All members with indexes of 18.5 and above are eligible but must play to a maximum index of 18.4. Course handicaps for women will be adjusted accordingly. If partners' handicaps differ by more than eight strokes the team can still play, but there will be an additional 10% reduction applied to their course handicaps. The player's June index will be used for hpGA qualifying. An hpGA club official can substitute players prior to Sectional Qualifying. No substitutions are allowed for teams that qualify to go to the Championship. hpGA Club Qualifier FormatWe will qualify as two-person teams. Lowest score wins. Only the winning team advances to Sectional Qualifying. We will use the USGA suggested method of breaking ties, using the last 9 holes net, the last 6, the last 3, the last hole, etc.... FeeshpGA Qualifier $10 per team (for NCGA tournament fund) plus regular Woodcreek GC green fee. Call the course to find out what their fees are; pay the $10 to the hpGA official at the course. We will be playing from the blue tees (women from whites). NCGA Qualifier $120 per team. * Championship $240 per team. * * NCGA Qualifier / Championship - all of the team fees will be paid from the hpGA's NCGA tournament fund. No ShowsStandard NCGA policy also applies to hpGA Qualifier: Any player who does not show up at the course and does not notify the course or the event coordinator will be suspended from playing in any hpGA / NCGA Qualifying events for ONE YEAR (includes same event the following year). |
